Schedules....

We don't know when the season will open, but we do have a schedule! My Giants open the season on September 11th in Washington. For the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11 the NFL had the two cities most affected by the attacks playing each other. The one thing I don't like about the Giants schedule is they play all of their softer games in the first half, meaning that once again they could start 5-1 and finish with a collapse. Here is the NYG schedule.
  1. @ Washington Redskins
  2. ST.LOUIS RAMS
  3. @ Philadelphia Eagles
  4. @ Arizona Cardinals
  5. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
  6. BUFFALO BILLS
  7. bye week
  8. MIAMI DOLPHINS
  9. @ New England Patriots
  10. @ San Francisco 49ers
  11. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
  12. @ New Orleans Saints
  13. GREEN BAY PACKERS
  14. @ Dallas Cowboys
  15. WASHINGTON REDSKINS
  16. @ New York Jets
  17. DALLAS COWBOYS
Those 4 games in weeks 11-14 are going to be brutal, plus the Giants in New England...yikes.

The season opens with the Green Bay Packers hosting the New Orleans Saints, a great game to start with. Other great Week 1 games will include; Falcons at Bears, Colts at Texans, Steelers at Ravens, Cowboys at Jets.
I'm ready to go with this season. We haven't had the draft yet or FA signings because of the lockout but a few teams from last year who I don't think will have the same success....Seahawks won't be back in playoffs but the Cowboys will. The Falcons will go from 14-2 to 9-7 or 10-6. The Bears are going to struggle because of the up and coming Lions, the Pack will be back in the NFC Title game but won't win. In the AFC say goodbye to the Jets constant AFC Championship game and make way for the Colts (back at full health). Could the Bucs be the new team to beat? Will the Texans finally make the playoffs? Could the Raiders be the surprise team in the AFC?
Lets get this season started!

Although I'm holding my picks until the draft and free agency, I do think the Packers are the best team in the NFC. I can see them repeating if they stay healthy. The Saints can still be dangerous and I think the Cowboys will be a factor again in the playoffs.
Rumor has it once teams are able to trade and sign players the Vikes will get Donovan McNabb or possibly Carson Palmer, with the D they already have this could mean trouble for the Bears and Pack. Worst team in the NFC this year will be the Redskins I'd be surprised if they win 4 games.
