Plax is back

More speculation here because the NFL is yet to remove 32 owners heads from their asses...

Plaxico Burress has been released from prison on gun charges and is now one of the big Free Agents available in the NFL, but where will he land?  After accidentally shooting himself in the thigh in a New York City night club in 2008 the standout receiver was released by the New York Giants who had him under contract for the next 6 years.
Where will Plax decide to go to now? Who would want a problem player like Burress on their team is the bigger question.

Plaxico was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers and in three years he emerged as a big target and downfield threat, but his lack of respect for the rules landed him in the free agent market. I was as shocked as anyone when the New York Giants took a stab at Plax, they thought hard nosed Coach Coughlin could reign him in I guess...he couldn't. But Plaxico made Eli a far better QB than he was before or has been since Burress left.
He wasn't a big part of the 2007 Giants Super Bowl win (although he did have the winning TD catch), he was a bigger part of getting there. I'm sure Kevin remembers that Burress was unstoppable in the NFC Championship game against the Packers where he had 10 catches for over 100 yards. He caught balls all season that had no business being catches, he is an amazing talent. So, who wants him?

San Diego Chargers? They could really use a big WR like Plaxico and with a strong armed Rivers at QB, this could push the Chargers into the Super Bowl race that they have been waiting forever for.

New York Jets? They don't know if they'll have Holmes or Edwards next season yet, so could be

New York Giants? Will GM Reese go against what Coughlin would prefer and bring back Eli's big time target?

Philadelphia Eagles? The first felon to felon TD hookup? Vick to Burress for 6?

I have no idea, also remember that Plaxico is 34 and hasn't played since 2008. The other big WR's available are Randy Moss and Terrell Owens...I guess it's not a good time to be a trouble making WR.
